TECH HEADS Authors Ned Vizzini and M.T. Anderson read from their recent youngadult novels, both of which involve technology and the teenage brain. In Mr. Vizzini’s “Be More Chill” (Miramax), a tiny implanted supercomputer called a “squip” makes a high-school student cool. Mr. Anderson’s “Feed” (Candlewick) takes place at a time in the future when Internet-television hybrids plug directly into the brain, and the teenage protagonist’s preferences are electronically dictated by corporations.
