FRENCH INTELLECTUAL The French department of New York University presents “Drums on the Dam,” a staged reading of a book of the same name by a founder of poststructuralist feminist theory and protégé of the late philosopher Jacques Derrida, Hélène Cixous. On Saturday, Ms. Cixous gives a lecture on “The Flying Manuscript,” about her discovery of a lost Derrida text.
