Saudi Arabia could join the America and Israel in the war against Iran in response to Tehran’s attacks on the Kingdom, a source briefed on the United States-Israeli military operation told New York Sun. “Saudi Arabia could join the operation in response to the ballistic missile and drone attacks from Iran,” the source said. Saudi Aramco’s Ras Tanura refining facility was reportedly hit by a drone on Monday morning. It’s still unclear from where the drone was launched. Iran has launched hundreds of ballistic missiles and drones at Gulf States since the joint Israeli-American attack on the Islamic Republic on Saturday. Iran hit residential areas, hotels, apartment buildings, and airports in a number of Gulf states, including the UAE, Bahrain, and Qatar. On Sunday, the ministerial council of the Gulf Cooperation Council held a virtual meeting, discussing the extensive damage “resulting from the treacherous Iranian attacks on these countries, including strikes on civilian facilities, service sites, and residential areas, causing significant material damage, posing threats to the security, safety, and lives of citizens and residents, and terrorizing innocent civilians.”“The GCC states retain their legal right to respond under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, which guarantees the right of self-defense, individually or collectively, in the event of aggression, and to take all necessary measures to safeguard their sovereignty, security and stability,” the joint statement added. Kuwait’s defense ministry meanwhile confirmed that “several US warplanes crashed” on Monday morning. “Confirming that all crew members survived. Authorities immediately initiated search and rescue operations, evacuating the crews and transporting them to a hospital for medical evaluation and treatment,” the statement said. Israel and the United States, meanwhile, continued pounding Iran, with fighter jets flying “non stop” over the Islamic Republic, according to the source briefed on the operation. The source added that the United States and Israel achieved 50 percent of what they did in the 12 day war in June last year: “So far they have dropped 2.000 bombs over Iran.”The IDF announced on Monday morning local time that the army targeted and “eliminated senior members of the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence, the main intelligence body of the Iranian terror regime.” The army identified the senior officials as Sayed Yahya Hamidi, Deputy Minister of Intelligence for Israel Affairs, who, over the years, “led terrorist activities targeting Jews, Western actors, and regime opponents in Iran and abroad.”The second official was identified as Jalal Pour Hossein, Head of the espionage division at the Ministry of Intelligence. In addition to eliminating senior Iranian officials, the Israeli Air Force struck the ministry’s headquarters in Tehran on Monday morning. “The Ministry of Intelligence, as the main intelligence body of the Iranian terror regime, possesses the most advanced capabilities in Iran and reports directly to the Supreme Leader.
