IVORY COAST
Film director James Ivory discusses the new book “James Ivory in Conversation” (University of California Press). It is structured as a conversation between Mr. Ivory, who is part of the Merchant-Ivory film production team, and author Robert Emmet Long. The book covers Mr. Ivory’s early interest in documentaries, his many collaborations with producer Ismail Merchant and writer Ruth Prawer Jhabvala, and his direction of films including “A Room with a View” and “The Remains of the Day.” Tonight, 7 p.m., Barnes & Noble Lincoln Triangle, 1972 Broadway at 66th Street, 212-595-6859, free.
