ITALIAN NEWSREELS Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimo presents two screenings of vintage newsreels from Italy’s Istituto Luce. The first evening features reels from between 1940 and 1945, with a presentation by NYU’s Ruth Ben-Ghiat (tonight, 6 p.m.). The next evening features reels from between 1945 and 1968, with remarks by Istituto Luce’s Claudio Siniscalchi (tomorrow, 6 p.m.). The screenings are presented in conjunction with the ongoing exhibit “Now Playing: Italian Film Posters From the Lawrence Auriana Collection” (Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.).
