BACK STORY Photographs by Berlin-based photographer Tim Lehmacher are on display in “Pli.” To make the works on display, Mr. Lehmacher photographed European statues from behind, then digitally erased all the background material. The exhibit title is taken from the French word for “fold,” a reference to the heavy, intricate folds of the sculpted garments. Through Friday, December 23, Tuesday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m., Daniel Cooney Fine Art, 511 W. 25th St., between Tenth and Eleventh avenues, no. 506, 212-255-8158, free.
