UNRAVELING WORDS SiteLines and Poets House present “Red Coil,” with Chilean poet Cecilia Vicuna and flutist Jane Rigler performing improvised stories, chants, and live music. O CAPTAIN! The Strand Bookstore celebrates the 150th year of Walt Whitman’s “Leaves of Grass” with a night of poetry and cocktails. The homage pays particular tribute to Whitman’s influence among French writers. Frederic Tuten moderates a discussion among nine poets who read from their work, and Francine du Plessix Gray reads from Whitman’s French translations.
