TRIBUTE The Poetry Society of America presents an evening of Asian-American poetry dedicated to the life and work of activist Chris Iijima, who died in December. Readers include Meena Alexander, Marilyn Chin, Luis Francia, Eric Gamalinda, Kimiko Hahn, Ishle Yi Park, Vijay Seshadri, Barbara Tran, and Shanxing Wang. Arthur Sze introduces the program. The evening is co-sponsored by the Asian American Writers’ Workshop and the New School Graduate Writing Program. Thursday, 7:30 p.m., the New School, Wollman Hall, 66 W. 12th St., between Fifth and Sixth avenues, fifth floor, 212-229-5488, $10 general, $7 students and Poetry Society members.
