VIEW FROM THE RIVER The Municipal Art Society leads its 14th annual summer boat tour of the East River, along which more than 1,000 acres of land are scheduled for redevelopment. Featured speakers include the senior vice president of the Brooklyn Navy Yard, Richard Drucker, and the president of the New York City Audubon Society, Peter Mott. INWOOD WALK The chief naturalist for the Department of Parks and Recreation, Mike Feller, conducts a walking tour through Inwood Hill Park, the last native forest on Manhattan Island. Saturday, 8-10 a.m., meet at the bridge near the Inwood Hill Nature Center, enter park at 218th Street and Indian Road, 212-927-9568, free.
