Lara Trump Claims the President Has a Speech Already Written About ‘Extraterrestrial Life’

President Trump’s daughter-in-law claims the president has a speech ready to go to address the existence of aliens or extraterrestrial technology. Lara Trump made the claim on the New York Post’s Pod Force One podcast on Wednesday.Ms. Trump — who is married to Eric Trump — was asked about aliens after President Obama recently said “the odds are good” that aliens exist.“Do you think he’s about to make an announcement about UFOs?” host Miranda Devine asked Ms. Trump.“What’s kind of funny is, we’ve kind of asked my father-in-law about this, ‘cause we’re like, ‘Well, what do you know?’” Ms. Trump responded. “Because, Miranda, we all want to know about the UFOs.”“He played a little coy with us,” Ms. Trump added. “Eric and I were like, ‘Oh my gosh, he won’t even fully tell us, maybe there’s more to it.'”“I have just heard kind of around that he’s actually said, my father-in-law has actually said it, that there is some speech that he has, that I guess at the right time — I don’t know what the right time is — that he is going to break out and talk about, and it has to do with maybe some sort of extraterrestrial life, so to speak,” Ms. Trump added.Asked about Ms. Trump’s comments during a White House press briefing Wednesday, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said reports that such a speech existed are “news to me.”“That would be of great interest to me personally, and I’m sure all of you in this room, and apparently former President Obama too. So we’ll keep you posted on that,” Ms. Leavitt said.Ms. Devine’s question came after podcaster Brian Tyler Cohen asked Mr. Obama, in a video released Saturday on his YouTube channel, if aliens are real.“They’re real, but I haven’t seen them,” Mr. Obama replied. “And they’re not being kept in, what is it? Area 51.”“There’s no underground facility, unless there’s this enormous conspiracy and they hid it from the president of the United States,” Mr. Obama added.The comment led to dramatic headlines and Mr. Obama posted a statement on Instagram on Sunday evening to “clarify” his comments.“I was trying to stick with the spirit of the speed round, but since it’s gotten attention let me clarify,” Mr. Obama said in an Instagram post. “Statistically, the universe is so vast that the odds are good there’s life out there. But the distances between solar systems are so great that the chances we’ve been visited by aliens is low, and I saw no evidence during my presidency that extraterrestrials have made contact with us. Really!”There have been UFO conspiracy theories around Area 51 for decades, including claims that the American government is hiding evidence of aliens there. The government installation — officially known as Groom Lake — spans over 4,500 square miles of restricted Nevada desert and serves as a testing ground for classified aircraft and weapons systems.UFO researcher Mark Christopher Lee claims a source inside the Trump administration told him last month that Mr. Trump plans to make a historic speech discussing UFO encounters at some point this year and “has been given authority by the other major world leaders to make this announcement.” Mr. Trump would supposedly confirm the existence of UFOs that cannot be explained by any known human technology.Mr. Trump, however, has publicly been skeptical of UFOs for years. In a 2019 ABC News interview he said, “People are saying they’re seeing UFOs. Do I believe it? Not particularly.”“Am I a believer? No,” Mr. Trump told Logan Paul during a podcast two years ago. “But I have met with people that are serious people that say there’s some really strange things that they see flying around out there.”The Pentagon launched a website a few years ago for the public to report unidentified anomalous phenomena. The All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office says it continues to examine UAP sightings but there is no evidence of extraterrestrial technology in government hands.
