New York’s attorney general is now the special prosecutor in a two-year-old alleged gang rape case involving a fraternity at Cornell. At the same time, Letitia James is the state’s frontline of defense against more than 1,600 people seeking relief from alleged abuse while in the state’s prisons and juvenile facilities.
