MS NOW’s Symone Sanders-Townsend Denounced as ‘Career Race-Baiter’ for Claiming White Supremacy Is ‘Foundational’ To Trump

A far left MS NOW personality and former senior aide to Kamala Harris during the Biden Administration, Symone Sanders-Townsend, is facing fierce criticism after she claimed on the cable network that “white supremacist ideology” is “foundational” to President Trump. Just hours after Mr. Trump sat in on oral arguments at the Supreme Court regarding his executive order limiting birthright citizenship on Wednesday, Ms. Sanders-Townsend claimed that the president is “trying to appeal” to white supremacists.“This idea that America is for quote/unquote uniquely for Americans, which translates to America is for foundational Americans, white people in this country, that is white supremacist ideology,” she said. She claimed, “White supremacist ideology, frankly, is foundational to Donald Trump’s political beliefs … The idea that [the birthright citizenship order] is just about immigrants in this country, people who have … come to this country seeking asylum, who have crossed the border illegally, who are undocumented, that is not what this is just about.”The Trump Administration has argued that individuals who are not in the country legally are not “subject to the jurisdiction of the United States,” and that their children born here are not entitled to citizenship. However, the justices appeared skeptical of that argument. Several users on X denounced Ms. Sanders-Townsend for her comments.“So tired of these [expletive],” one person said. Another commentator accused her of being “nothing more than an ignorant career race-baiter.”“She is a total DEI [expletive] FRAUD,” another user said. Amid the criticism, Ms. Sanders-Townsend doubled down on her statement. She shared the video herself and wrote, “This clip is currently making the rounds. Thank you to my MAGA boosters. To be clear: it was never JUST about immigrants folks!”Ms. Sanders-Townsend has long accused Mr. Trump of trying to take advantage of racial animus to further his political goals. In 2017, she told the Cut that she thinks Mr. Trump is a “white-supremacist sympathizer.”“I’ve never actually thought he was a racist. I think he’s somebody that just understands how race works and how it plays to his advantage,” she said.Despite saying that she does not believe the president is racist, she does not think it matters because she claimed he is “acting as a racist.”
