Netanyahu: Gulf States Are ‘Encouraging’ U.S. To ‘Accelerate’ Attacks Against Iran

Israel’s Prime Minister said that Arab Gulf states are “encouraging” the U.S. to accelerate its attacks against Iran as a nuclear armed Iran regime would be “the end” of them. In an interview with Newsmax Mr. Netanyahu said the Gulf states realized they “shouldn’t succumb” to Iran’s blackmail as they would end up in “a much worse place when they (Iran) develop nuclear weapons.”“That’ll be the end of the Gulf states. It’ll be the end of many, many states,” he said. Mr. Netanyahu’s claim that the Gulf states are pushing for a continuation of the war align with a report in the Associated Press which said that Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE and Kuwait have conveyed private messages to the White House, arguing that the war against Iran should continue in order to cripple the regime. A Kuwaiti crude tanker was attacked by Iran near Dubai Port on Tuesday while Saudi Arabia intercepted drones from the regime. The UAE also intercepted missiles and drones from Iran on Tuesday. Mr. Netanyahu also told Newsmax that the war against Iran is “beyond the halfway point” without offering a clear timeline for how long the war will continue. An Israeli official told The New York Sun that war is expected to last “weeks” and that “there are growing cracks” within Iran’s leadership.Those still in power are, however, the same types as their predecessors, the official added. Mr. Netanyahu said that Iran still has “a stock of enriched uranium. And that’s the focus of President Trump’s demand. He says, ‘Take it out. Give it to me.’ Maybe possibly to the IAEA, possibly to others, but take it out of Iran.”The U.S. and Israel, he said, “wiped out 70 percent” of Iran’s steel capacity, which he said is controlled by the IRGC. “It’s like taking factories out of the SS (Nazis). People don’t know history but there was a Nazi regime and the Nazi regime had an army but they also had the storm troopers. The storm troopers of this regime are called the IRGC and the Basij (forces),” the prime minister said. “They terrorize their own people. So when we hit their steel plants we are hitting a major element of the terror tyrannies’ economy,” he added. The prime minister also lashed out at “most of” his European colleagues who he claimed had shown “remarkable weakness in the face of a regime which says America is the great satan, Israel is the small satan and Europe is sort of the middle size satan.”“I said they are developing missiles that cover Europe. Well now, with firing that long range missile into Diego Garcia, they got practically all of Europe under their fire. The question is; will the West wake up?” Mr. Netanyahu asked.
