Ambulance Driver Charged With Drunken Driving After Hitting Boy

Police arrested an ambulance driver on charges of driving while intoxicated after the drive hit a young boy who was crossing the street in the Gramercy Park section of Manhattan, police officials said.

The victim, who was crossing 20th Street from between parked cars, was hit at about 3 p.m. Police said he is likely to die,

The suspect is not likely to face criminal charges if the boy dies, a police source said.
