* July 14, 2005: City Council reveals that Mr. Miller’s taxpayer-funded campaign mailings cost $1.6 million and were sent to 5.8 million New Yorkers citywide. In June, a spokesman for Mr. Miller had told reporters that the mailings cost only $37,000 and were sent to more than 100,000 New Yorkers.
