Six police officers were injured yesterday during a police chase on the Bronx River Highway, police officials said.

The chase began after the suspect, Harold Boyce, ran a stop sign on East 236th Street in the Eastchester section of the Bronx, police said. Refusing to stop for police, Mr. Boyce sped his white sedan onto the Bronx River Parkway, and collided with an awaiting patrol car. Mr. Boyce then fled on foot, but was quickly apprehended, police said.

Three police vehicles crashed while responding to the incident. A total of six officers were taken to Jacobi Hospital, where they were treated for minor injuries, police said.
