Trump Says Netanyahu ‘Will Do Whatever I Want Him To Do’ Amid Iran Negotiations

President Trump said that Israel’s Prime Minister will do “whatever I want him to do.”“He’s a very good man, he’ll do whatever I want him to do. And he’s a great guy… Don’t forget he was a wartime prime minister,” President Trump said when asked about his phone conversation with Benjamin Netanyahu earlier this week. The phone call was intense and left Mr. Netanyahu’s “hair on fire”, according to a report by Axios. Mr. Trump reportedly told the Israeli prime minister that mediators are currently working on a “letter of intent” for Washington and Tehran to sign which would end the war whereafter a 30-day negotiations period would start to reach an agreement on the nuclear program and the Strait of Hormuz. Pakistan’s Army Chief Asim Munir is scheduled to visit Iran on Thursday as Islamabad’s efforts to avoid a new war continue.Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei meanwhile “we received U.S. views and are reviewing them.” Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi issued yet another warning to Washington, saying: “Our powerful Armed Forces are confirmed as 1st to strike down a touted F-35. With lessons learned and knowledge we gained, return to war will feature many more surprises.”Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf predicted that the U.S. likely still hopes for Iran to “surrender” and that the Trump administration “mistakenly” believes that it can use military pressure to force Iran to meet its demands. “In the face of such a plan, we must correct the enemy’s miscalculations by strengthening our preparedness for a powerful and effective response to any possible attacks, and by increasing our economic resilience. We must make the enemy lose hope in Iran’s surrender, so that it is forced to accept the legitimate demands of the Iranian people in negotiations,” he said.In Israel, the IDF remained on “highest alert” for a renewed war with Iran. “At this moment, the IDF is on the highest level of alert and prepared for any development… We have systematically, powerfully, and methodically struck and weakened Iran and the entire axis. We will continue to operate for as long as necessary in both near and distant arenas,” IDF chief Eyal Zamir said on Wednesday. CNN meanwhile reported that the U.S. estimates that Iran’s military is reconstituting “much faster than initially estimated” which includes replacing missile sites and launchers. Iran’s drone production has restarted during the ceasefire with the U.S., according to two sources familiar with US intelligence assessments
