Trump Says War With Iran Could End ‘Very Soon,’ Threatens ‘Fire and Fury’ If Hormuz Oil Flow Is Disrupted

President Trump predicted that the war with Iran would be over “very soon” while threatening the regime with harsher attacks if it stops oil flow from the Strait of Hormuz. Speaking at a conference in Florida, Mr. Trump said: “We’re achieving major strides toward completing our military objective, and some people could say they’re pretty well complete. We’ve wiped every single force in Iran out very completely.”“We’ve already won in many ways, but we haven’t won enough,” he said, adding that the war wouldn’t be over in a week but that it would wrap up “very soon.”“We’ve left some of the most important targets for later, in case we need to do it. If we hit (those targets), it’s going to take many years for them to be rebuilt. (The targets have) to do with electricity production and many other things. We’re not looking to do that if we don’t have to,” he said. Mr. Trump later threatened Iran on Truth Social, saying that if the regime does anything that stops the flow of oil within the Strait of Hormuz “they will be hit by the United States of America TWENTY TIMES HARDER than they have been hit thus far.”“Additionally, we will take out easily destroyable targets that will make it virtually impossible for Iran to ever be built back, as a Nation, again — Death, Fire, and Fury will reign upon them — But I hope, and pray, that it does not happen!,” he added. The IRGC responded to Mr. Trump’s threats, saying that not “one liter of oil” will leave the Middle East if the American and Israeli attacks on Iran continue. “We are the ones who will determine the end of the war,” an IRGC spokesperson was quoted as saying. Israel, meanwhile, experienced a 10-hour lull in ballistic missiles fired from Iran from midnight until 10 local time this morning when sirens rang across the country again due to missile fire. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Tuesday morning that Israel’s aspiration is to “enable the Iranian people to cast off the yoke of tyranny; ultimately, it is up to them. But there is no doubt that through the actions taken so far, we are breaking their bones and we are still active.”“If we succeed together with the Iranian people, we will bring about a permanent end to the extent that such things exist in the lives of nations. We will bring about change, and we are already bringing about a massive shift in Israel’s international standing,” Mr. Netanyahu said. The IDF announced on Monday night that the air force had attacked six major Iranian military airfields. “As part of the strikes, numerous aircraft were dismantled, including Quds Force aircraft belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and Iranian combat helicopters,” the IDF said. “In addition, runways and defense and detection systems intended to operate against IAF aircraft operating in Iranian airspace were struck,” the army added.
