President Trump’s nominee to be the Director of National Intelligence, Jay Clayton, suffered through a rocky confirmation hearing on Wednesday as he repeatedly declined to say who won the 2020 presidential election. Throughout hours of testimony, Mr. Clayton grew increasingly frustrated by Democrats questioning him about elections and Mr. Trump’s desire to have someone go looking for proof of fraud.
