COUPLE OF CANS A pianist for the Bang on a Can All-Stars, Lisa Moore, joins percussionist David Cossin, cellist Wendy Sutter, guitarist Mark Stewart, and singer Theo Bleckmann in a performance downtown. Bang on a Can’s David Lang will also perform work from “Heroin,” his new setting of the Velvet Underground song “Heroin” for voice and cello. HOLLIDAY’S LEGACY Female singers join together for “Billie & Me,” an evening celebrating Billie Holliday. Participants include Rita Coolidge, Joan Osborne, Dianne Reeves, and Rokia Traore. There are also readings accompanied by film and audio footage. Terri Lyne Carrington serves as musical director at the event, which chronicles Holliday’s stardom after her childhood around the brothels of Baltimore.
