CHANT FOR ENLIGHTENMENT “An Evening of Sacred Sounds and Peaceful Intentions” is a concert to benefit Peace X Peace, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the global status of women. Featured artists include a world music singer who combines Sanskrit mantras and modern styles, Girish, and a chant music vocalist, Snatam Kaur. SCIENTIFIC METHOD The American Committee for the Weizmann Institute of Science presents its annual gala dinner. An activist against global poverty and the ninth president of the World Bank, James Wolfensohn, is honored. Speakers include the United Nations ambassador to Israel, Dan Gillerman.
