I’m an actress who lives in Los Angeles, but like many people I don’t go to the movies much these days. Mainly because so much of the content — especially on streaming platforms — feels dark, depressing, nihilistic, and endlessly derivative. Why pay a premium to watch more of the same from Hollywood on a bigger screen ?
