WASHINGTON — Senator Clinton will end her presidential campaign tomorrow at an event at Washington.

She will thank supporters and formally endorse rival Senator Obama, who clinched the nomination on Tuesday.

The campaign said in a statement today that the event will take place at noon at the National Building Museum.

The former first lady is expected to urge Democrats to unite behind Mr. Obama and help him defeat Republican Senator McCain in November.

Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Obama met privately at the home of Senator Feinstein of California last night to discuss the campaign going forward.
