Fred Thompson just had his Sunshine State debut in downtown Jacksonville, Florida. Despite the broader organizational problems I mentioned in my column this morning, the crowd turnout was good (150-200) and enthusiastic. It was also hot as hell (in this New Yorker’s opinion — it was only 77 degrees by my laptop’s reading, but I think that must have been a Celsius reading).
