Boy Falls from Fifth Floor, Dies

A 12-year-old boy fell to his death yesterday from a fifth floor window in his family’s Harlem apartment, police officials said.
The body of Jonathan Batista was found at about 5:30 a.m. by his father, Teordoro Batista, in an alley below his bedroom window, the superintendent of the building, Domingo Rodriguez, said.
Mr. Batista became alarmed early yesterday morning when he went into his son’s room to find the air conditioner pushed out of the window, the boy’s stepmother, Maria Rosario, said.
