Will Netanyahu Convince Trump To End Tehran’s 47 Years of Terror?

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is scheduled to meet President Trump on Wednesday at the White House, could promote plans for collapsing the Islamic Republic regime, which at the same time will mark 47 years in power. The premier was originally scheduled to fly to Washington next week to attend an annual conference of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, as well as a gathering of Board of Peace members, who will convene to advance further Gaza rehabilitation plans.As Mr. Netanyahu boarded the premier’s plane, Wing of Zion, he noted that this is his seventh trip to Washington since the start of Mr. Trump’s second term. Mr. Larijani and local officials discussed “ways to reach a balanced and just agreement” between Iran and America, the Omani official news agency said in a statement, adding that they “emphasised the importance of returning to the table of dialogue and negotiation.”As yet, no date for a meeting is announced to follow up on a preliminary session over the weekend, in which American and Iranian diplomats convened at Muscat. The nuclear file is the only issue Tehran is currently willing to discuss, even as it insists on a “right” to enrich uranium. New satellite images that show blocked tunnel entrances at the Esfahan facility indicate that the Iranians are fortifying their nuclear sites.. “It appears clear that the Iranians are seriously concerned about a US/Israeli aerial attack and/or raid against this particularly hardened nuclear facility,” the Institute for Science and International Security, which published the imaging on Monday, writes in its X account. Israel, too, is preparing its air defense systems for a possible Iranian attack. For the first time, these multilayered defenses will include the Iron Beam, a laser-based system. In his White House meeting Mr. Netanyahu is widely expected to convince Mr. Trump to include Iran’s growing ballistic missiles arsenal in any possible diplomatic agreement. He might also lobby against any agreement, which would be bad for Israel, but will also be a loss for America. As Mr. Amir notes, Communist China is making inroads to the Middle East and buys Iranian oil at discount prices. As other countries in the region look on, an American failure to strike the Iranian regime at its weakest point in history will advance Beijing’s drive to overtake America as world leader. “This could be the last war,” Mr. Amir says. “A strike that would be strong enough to collapse the regime will allow the entire Middle East to live peacefully.”
